For the third time, D4 Projekt GmbH reversed it’s normal supplier roll, and became an exhibitor with a stand in the German Pavilion at The Exhibitors Show in Las Vegas. As in the past, the 2012 show was not only a success in meeting new client, but also seeing old clients, partners, and friends. For most of the 3 day show, our small stand was filled with visitors which make all the planning and long hours worthwhile. Seeing old friends and being introduced to new ones can hardly be considered work, but as the old saying goes, ‘someone has to do it’.

A special exhibition entitled "Storyboards" featuring works from various directors including Alfred Hitchcock and Steven Spielberg ran from the 11th August to 27th November in the Deutschen Kinemathek, Museum für Film und Fernsehen in Berlin. D4 Project renovated existing museum walling, as well as built new wall panels in four of the exhibition rooms. In addition we also hung all exhibition picture frames. Special attention was paid to providing and installing correct lighting for this museum exhibition.

ACREST, a leading German company for asset management and development of retail real estate, developed a new CI (Corporate Identity) which formed the basic color scheme for concept of the Expo Real 2011 stand. The 3D structure of the stand consisted of transparent and opaque fabric walls and overhead signage using the new CI green and yellow to create a very modern and stark image. Black and white furnishing within the stand also added to the elegant look and feel.

D4 Projekt was responsible for the construction of 6 stands at the PCSEC show in Hamburg this year. Two of the companies, DEK Solar and Solarwatt AG also exhibited at the previous years show in Valencia which D4 serviced as well. The other 4 clients included two German companies IMA Automation Berlin GmbH and Berlin Solar Network eV, plus two from North America, KLA Tencor and Day 4 Energy. As Berlin continues to be the research and development leader in the solar industry, D4 Projekt is well positioned to help support them.

The BAUWERT Investment Group is a leading project developer in Germany. As part of a real estate project, we were asked to deliver classical event decorations and services at two locations in the heart of Berlin. Indoors, we provided the furnishing for the press conferences, including back drops and window graphics. Outside we provide the decorative coverings for the technical equipment.

For over 10 years now, D4 Projekt GmbH has had the pleasure of building the SES Astra stand at numerous shows and venues each year. Last year stand at IBC in Amsterdam was yet another occasion. Unique in the design was a hanging mobile, constructed from colored plexi glass and lit from above with LED lights. A 5 meter high “MicroTile” wall was installed behind the reception desk. Over head, fabric was stretched over aluminium profiles to creating unique elongated shapes. These contained the SES logo and were visible from most points within the hall.

The 11th edition of the Michelin Challenge Bibendum was held this year in the hangers of the now-closed Tempelhof Airport in the center of Berlin. Working on behalf of the agency AXIAL agencement, D4 constructed the 60m² stand in Hanger 5 for the company Rhodia, a world leader of specialty chemicals. It’s main feature was a 4 m high curved back lit graphic wall, whose light intensity was regulated with a dimmer control system, which created a continuously changing graphic, underscoring the modern image of the Rhodia Group.

As a break from our normally hectic work load, the entire D4 Projeckt team spent a pleasant afternoon at a climbing forest just outside Berlin. The obstacle course ranged in difficulty from a simple Level One – 1-2 metes high to Level Five – over 10 meters high. Professional harnesses and a brief safety course were mandatory for all climbers, after which each climber was limited by the degree of fear they had for heights. Not surprising, the younger D4 employees seemed to be the more agile and fearless, as they moved more like monkey from tree to tree.

On 14 and 15 April 2011, Foreign Ministers from around the world met for the NATO conference here in Berlin. D4 Projekt working for the Pool Group GmbH, outfitted various areas within the Foreign Office building. D4 Projekt was responsible for stage coverings, platforms, interior furnishings, and other decorations for this two day conference.

D4 Projekt was responsible for the construction of 4 stands (Intel, Airspan, Packet Video and Atheros) at the 2011 GSMA - Mobile World Congress show in Barcelona. Two were pavilion stands located in temporary building outside the exhibit halls and the other two were within the halls. Both the Intel and Airspan stands were two story structures. Packet Video and Atheros are long standing client that we have serviced at this show for multiple years now.

At the 71st International Trade Fair for Sports Equipment and Fashion, Nike ActionSports succeeded once again in creating an unusual stand concept. The booth consisted of scenery-like wooden houses constructed using raw timber framing, which was contrasted with high-end furnishings. The raw framed construction outfitted with artistic and playful decorations, served as an interesting and creative backdrop for Nike’s 6.0 und Snowboarding product line.

The Italian artist Guido Danielle paints images of wild animal on people’s hands and then creates large format photographs of his work. D4 Project designed and built a tropical theme using bamboo frames, vegetation, and carpet to present Danielle’s images at numerous ECE shopping centers throughout Germany. Each presentation lasts for approximately one week before moving on to the next shopping center location. For over a year now, D4 has coordinated all construction, installation, transportation, and logistics for this on going programs.

After successfully completing BerlinerLuft. stand at ISH 2009, D4 Projekt was once again asked to create their 2011 stand design. Working with our partner Eckedesign, a new design concept was created for this worldwide producer of climate-control systems. The focal point at this year stand was the presentation of their new VarioCond air conditioning system along with ventilation duct work suspended from a truss grid over the stand. A large graphic mural, 4 meter high back wall, double height platform areas, bars, and hospitality area completed the stand design. The result was a very successful show for the BerlinerLuft. client.

For the first time, UKA presented themselves at the Hannover Messe 2011. Together with their marketing agency, D4 Projekt GmbH developed the concept, design, as well as manufactured and installed this modular stand. Environmentally friendly processes were important to the client and built into the whole project. The overhead banner with its colorful motifs made sure that the stand would be recognisable from a distance. UKA will participate on other exhibitions using this same modular concept.

D4 Projekt created a bright, open, and inviting stand for their client NEWAVE at the CeBIT 2011 show in Hannover following the company’s new CI guidelines. Two 6,5 m high maxima-light towers dominated the stand space and provided large backlit surfaces for the Newave logos on all sides of each tower. Lit flooring under the towers provided an inviting walkway leading to the Information desk / bar area. Two hospitality areas were outfitted with sofa seating, as well as tables and chairs for the stand visitors.

Since 1993, the Ministry of Infrastructure and Agriculture of Brandenburg has organized the Brandenburg-Hall at the International Green Week show held every year in Berlin. Through a tendering process, D4 Project was awarded the construction of their stand 2009. Due to the outstanding service and construction quality, the contract was renewed for 2010 and 2011. The Brandenburg hall, a typical market place, was composed of 74 market stands, three restaurant areas, a show stage, a cooking studio, with a total of 120 exhibitors.

In July 2010 one of the most important airline congresses in the world, the annual general meeting of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) took place for the first time in Berlin. D4 constructed the 50 m wide x 5.5 m high digital print back-wall, a portion of which was used for projection screens. In April 2010 an event for the pharmaceutical company Novo Nordisk took place In the large ballroom of the Marriott Hotel Berlin. D4 constructed and installed a 40 m wide x 4.5 m high curved projection screen backdrop, a tiered platform for guest seating, and a presentation stage.

We would like to thank all those who visited us at our stand at Euro Shop. With only 16 square meters of space, we were able to create a quality design and exhibit that reflected the high standards typical of D4 Projekt craftsmanship. The seating steps in front of a stylized backlit Berlin landscape, along with an excellent cup of espresso offered to each visitor, helps create a warm and friendly environment for conversation and business discussions. We appreciate the positive response we received from our visitors and all of the new contacts that we made at this show.
